Production and Diagnostic-Capable Control Systems that Optimize Performance and Efficiency

CrossChasm offers full application development support for automotive/industrial controller systems, specializing in supervisory or hybrid controllers that coordinate electric powertrain components. CrossChasm develops and supports full vehicle control system integration, as well as specialized component application development for battery monitoring, engine management systems, and auxiliary and hydraulic controllers.

The benefit of working with CrossChasm is faster application development, with more flexibility. Our solutions are easy to calibrate in the field, our code can easily migrate to more powerful or less powerful hardware as required, and we have complete algorithm control.

All Electronic Control Modules are completely sealed and suitable for automotive, industrial or marine applications. They are especially price-suited for scalable applications that require moderate prototyping costs, and low volume costs.

What makes CrossChasm's control systems faster and cheaper to develop?

It's simple, there isn't a single line of control code that is hand-coded. Hand-coding is expensive and time-consuming. Using model-based techniques and auto-code generation, our application team can design and test the control logic and stability in simulation and then directly compile the code. The code is immediately ready to flash the controller and ready for real-world testing - months and tens of thousands of dollars saved.

Why isn't everyone using auto-code generation? It is more and more common in vehicle control systems; however, there are substantial upfront costs for the development seats. Since CrossChasm provides control systems to a number of clients, these seat costs are distributed and are therefore much less on a "per project" basis. In addition, CrossChasm's partners have developed options for easy calibration and tuning of the contollers. The result is faster, rugged, reliable control systems.

Controller Hardware

Working with our partners, there is an extensive list of available controllers. Three controllers currently in-use (or in development) by CrossChasm team members include:

Small but Powerful

CrossChasm

Small engine, battery pack, or by-wire supervisory control

With 13 analog inputs, 12 digital outputs, 7 high current PWM, 1 H-Bridge, and 1 CAN channel, this controller packs a lot of functionality into a small package. CrossChasm has developed an engine control system for a client using this controller.

High Performance

CrossChasm

Hybrid powertrain supervisory control and battery management systems

With 33 analog inputs, 10 specialized inputs (O2, speed, etc.), 33 specialized outputs, 2 H-bridges, and 3 CAN channels, this controller is packed with capability.

The I/O King

CrossChasm

Large engine control and I/O intensive applications

With 34 analog inputs, 15 specialized inputs (O2, speed, etc.), 43 specialized outputs, 2 H-bridges, 2 CAN channels, and an ISO 9141 channel, this controller is ready for the most I/O intensive applications.
