Quicksider Electric Delivery Vehicle

Using dynamometer and operational data, a highly accurate model of the first prototype was created. From this model, the energy consumption for each component was quantified and unexpected real-world performance was explained. A set of potential design improvements were simulated, providing relevant data for prioritizing efforts and eliminating work that would generate limited benefit. Additionally, by combining drive cycle data from Purolator’s existing fleet with the model of the next-generation Quicksider design, an exact value of the required battery capacity to meet real-world range requirements was identified.
